Farewell to Dennis Hopper

An actor who brought a tortured authenticity to many of his roles, Hopper was known as the kind of star who played characters that had done and seen everything. Never entirely fitting in with the Hollywood mold, he managed in a long career to nevertheless deliver an extraordinarily wide range of unforgettable performances. Struck down after a battle with prostate cancer, Hopper was 74 years old.
