Accused of: murder, kidnapping, assault, rape
Over the course of several gruesome days in October, authorities found the remains of 11 bodies in and around the home of Sowell, a convicted sex offender. The 85-count indictment says Sowell lured the women, most of them homeless or drug-addicted, into his house, where he sexually attacked them and then strangled them. He has pleaded not guilty by reason of insanity.
