Urderzo and Goscinny's indomitable Gaul Asterix and his muscular sidekick Obelix have inspired numerous films, three of them live-action productions. In the most recent (in which the heroes are played by Clovis Cornillac and Gerard Depardieu), the Gauls take the Olympics by storm with the help of their magical potion.
