When the openly gay Harris hosted the annual Tony Awards ceremony in June, he worked with lyricists to devise a parody of the song "Tonight" that made light of his sexuality. It brought down the house. "This show could not be gayer," he sang, "if Liza was named mayor and Elton John took flight."
