A Day in the Life of Glenn Beck

At the Alamo
The story of the 188 men who selflessly defended the Texas bastion against a superior Mexican force in 1836 is the kind of tale Beck likes to tell and his audience loves to hear. "These 188 people," he wrote, "weren't any different than you. Some of them were soldiers, some of them were just regular people ... they didn't pick the place or the time of their fight. They wouldn't have done it at a mission ... They just knew that their cause was just. They just knew that their lives were worth laying down for what was right ... They did it because they were committed to the idea of liberty."
