On Aug. 8, 2009, at a town hall in Memphis, Roger Fakes Sr., 70, directs Democratic Representative Steve Cohen to a passage in the proposed health-care bill that, he felt would require holders of private insurance to turn to the government plan in certain instances. "I am rabidly opposed to it," Fakes said. "There are some of us old gray-haired folks that don't want the government involved in any of our business."
