In Great Britain, it's still tradition to wear shamrocks on St. Patrick's Day. Here, the Queen Mother dons her greens alongside Irish Guards in 1994. Legend says St. Patrick used the three-part shamrock to explain the Holy Trinity to those Irish he tried to convert to Christianity.
