Google Earth Adds Historical Photos

This photo, taken the day after terrorists attacked New York and Washington, D.C, shows the World Trade Center site continuing to burn after the initial attack. Peter Birch, Google Earth's product manager, says, "A lot of this is about preserving our history and having a record of our footprint. It's easy to forget what the world looked like."
