Il Etait un Fois
As viewed from The Trocadero in Paris, February 1888, progress is being made on the Eiffel Tower. It was built as the entrance arch for the 1889 Exposition Universelle, a World's Fair marking the centennial celebration of the French Revolution. Originally planned to be located in Barcelona (for the Universal Exposition of 1888), it was thought that the design didn't fit into the feel of the city.
