The curriculum at Chief Dull Knife is similar to those at any community college — English, history, math — but has a unique Cheyenne flavor. The school offers instruction in the Cheyenne language, which is not commonly spoken on the reservation, and literature classes include books like Cheyenne Autumn, a highly praised 1953 novel about the tribe's 1878-79 return to Montana after exile in Oklahoma.
