A 22-year-old college student, Yuka was raped when she was 19 by a friend and his girlfriend. She came to learn of self-injury through a book, I Won't Die Until the Graduation Ceremony of School, a memoir written by a girl who subsequently died from an overdose. Of all the subjects photographer Okahara met, Yuka has made the most progress on the road back to a normal life.
