Over 6,000 soldiers from the Reserve are currently on duty in Iraq. Thousands of Reservists participated in the march to Baghdad and the subsequent effort to stabilize the country. This unit was awarded Combat Infantryman's Badges, the first Reserve unit to earn the award since the Korean War.
