New Horizon
In order to press their case for the return of the Elgin Marbles, the Greeks have built an elegant new museum at the base of the Acropolis, designed by architect Bernard Tschumi. It will house those parts of the Parthenon marbles that remain in Athens and — they hope — eventually the Elgin Marbles as well. In this photo, a case containing a portion of the original frieze is transferred to its new home.
