After the controversy of the year before, the Rolling Stones were deemed a "safer choice" for Super Bowl XL at the Ford Field in Detroit, Michigan on Feb. 5, 2006. The band agreed to a five-second delay of their performance to guard against any new unforeseen "malfunctions."
