Super Bowl XXV, held in Tampa, Florida in 1991 featured boy band New Kids on the Block, Michael Jackson, and 3,500 local children from a wide range of ethnic backgrounds. Television audiences did not see the show until after the game was over, as ABC chose to cut to a Peter Jennings report about Gulf War I.
