Round 6 Winner — Mark Steene, WAYVILLE, SOUTH AUSTRALIA
Lake Gairdner is a large salt lake in the far north of South Australia. My mate and I arrived late in the day one Easter weekend and drove straight out onto it. Brilliantly white, it seems to go on forever — the sense of space is broken only by the shoreline on the horizon. This image was taken at last light. That's me with my hands on my hips. We sat out there, drank beer and told stories. We felt like great explorers.
