The Judicial System
With its black robes and horsehair wigs, Hong Kong's court system is an obvious inheritance from Britain. Little has changed since the handover: English is still used in the courts and legislature (though bilingual proceedings are now common); procedures are rooted in British principles of common law; and barristers and judges still wear those wigs.
