An Education
Jackson is the first African-American to serve as EPA Administrator. She was born in Philadelphia and adopted weeks after her birth. Lisa grew up in New Orleans and in 1979 graduated as valedictorian from Saint Mary's Dominican High School in New Orleans. In 1983, Jackson received her Chemical Engineering degree from Tulane University and in 1986 earned a Masters of Science in the same field from Princeton University.
