The Dude
During the 1990s, Bridges devoted most of his time to raising his three daughters with his wife Susan. But the decade did result in one unforgettable role for the actor: the pot-smoking, White Russian–drinking avid bowler and quintessential L.A. slacker Jeff Lebowski, a.k.a. the Dude. While the Coen brothers' The Big Lebowski did not originally attract a great deal of attention, it grew into a cult classic, largely on the basis of Bridges' captivating performance.
