Jeff Bridges' Career

In 1989's The Fabulous Baker Boys, Bridges again plays alongside his brother Beau. The Bridges portray two musically talented brothers, both of whom are in love with the third member of their group (Michelle Pfeiffer). Early in his career, Jeff Bridges' low-key acting style did not make him a blockbuster star, but critics often noticed his performances. Of his approach to acting, Pauline Kael wrote, "He may be the most natural and least self-conscious screen actor who ever lived."
