Falcon 1 was just the beginning. On June 4, 2010, SpaceX launched its larger Falcon 9 rocket on its first attempt at Cape Canaveral, Florida. The unmanned Falcon 9 rocket will eventually take over NASA's space shuttle's role in resupplying the International Space Station with the ultimate goal of transporting astronauts.
