Hollywood's jack of all trades was given the nod in 2006 to direct Iron Man, Marvel's first self-produced feature film. Favreau's motto for the movie was "plausability" — to make the Iron Man suit and other technologies introduced in the movie seem feasible, despite the realities of modern technology. His efforts were a success, making Iron Man one of the must see movies of 2008.
