In 1993, Williams accepted a position at NBC and became the network's chief White House correspondent one year later. By 1996, he had his own show on MSNBC, The News with Brian Williams and succeeded Tom Brokaw in the to-die-for position of anchor of NBC Nightly News in 2004.
