Hope for the Future
"I'm an incurable optimist about the future of good journalism," Keller says "and of The New York Times in particular. He cites three reasons: many of the Times' competitors are downsizing or disappearing; unlike other newspapers, it hasn't cut costs by gutting its newsgathering operation and finally, he believes, a better business model is just around the corner.
