Billionaire Richard Branson

Sir Richard Branson, the billionaire entrepreneur famous for creating the Virgin brand, was recently made the United Nations Correspondents Association Citizen of the World Award for his support for environmental and humanitarian causes.

Making a Splash
Branson's hot-air balloon lays in the Pacific Ocean near Honolulu ending the flamboyant his 1998 attempt to fly non-stop around the world. The capsule also carried US millionaire Steve Fossett and Swedish balloonist Per Lindstrand.
