Amazing New Medicines

Your special report on new medications showed there is thrilling promise in future "cures" for so many diseases that plague mankind [THE FUTURE OF DRUGS, Jan. 15]. But how will ordinary folks pay for these modern miracles? One drug company is hopeful that the savings involved in developing these medicines "will translate into pure profit for investors."
