Not content with another Oscar bid as an actor (Remains of the Day), Anthony Hopkins will try directing. The film is that notorious bad-luck vehicle Macbeth. Hopkins is protecting himself with a strong star: himself.
After fizzling in the U.S., Sliver is sizzling overseas. Paramount has nearly doubled the $37 million domestic gross abroad by inserting four steamy minutes and marketing it as "the movie America didn't want to see."
