Life, Liberty and the Pursuit of Torture

At the U.N. Conference on Human Rights in Vienna last week, certain governments argued that human rights were a culturally relative notion. The practices listed below, alleged by Amnesty International and Asia Watch, don't quite seem like innocent local customs.
