M.L.K. Day has reached the mountaintop. For the first time, all 50 states officially observed a Martin Luther King Jr. holiday, including holdouts New Hampshire and Arizona (see march in Phoenix, above). New Hampshire’s holiday was temporary; a bill making it permanent will be fought out in the state legislature this year.
