Results of a National Student/Parent Mock Election, in which 4.6 million students and some parents cast ballots in all 50 states, were counted last Thursday. Clinton carried 35 states and D.C., with 459 electoral votes. A similar election in 1988 gave George Bush a 59%-to-41% win over Michael Dukakis — a mild inflation of the actual 53.4%-to-45.6% outcome. Most of the students are still too young to vote.
