Houston City Councilman Jim Westmoreland, who is running for re-election this week, suggested that instead of renaming the city's airport for the late African American Congressman Mickey Leland, it should be called "Nigger International." Westmoreland later explained that he had said "Negro International," but had been misunderstood.
