Standard price of a daily U.S. newspaper is now 5¢. Of 1,725 U.S. dailies, in the past year 75 have raised their price to 5¢ ; 279 now charge 4¢ (as against only 32 at that price two years ago); three-centers dropped from 556 to 398, and two-centers from 84 to 62, during the year. There are now only three 1¢ dailies, one each in Ohio, Pennsylvania, Wisconsin.
