Its chief health officer— Dr. Milligan—delivered a report on the weight and height of its children as compared with American juveniles. He found that Americans were greater in both dimensions. At age 12, American boys stand 56¼ inches and weigh 79 pounds. Reading boys stand 54¼, weigh 73.
