Off to Tanganyika
The first Peace Corps volunteers will go to equatorial Tanganyika. A band of 28 U.S. surveyors, geologists and civil engineersall menwill arrive about Oct. 1 for two years of mapping and building much-needed secondary roads. Next countries due to get Peace Corpsmen: Nigeria and several Latin American republics.
Prognosis: Poor
The Administration has serious doubts that it can pass a medical-aid-to-the-aged bill this year. At best, it rates the chances at fifty-fifty.
