Ann Vickers (RKO-Radio). Sinclair Lewis' story of a woman social worker is satisfactory material for the cinema. As adapted by Jane Murfin it briefly shows Ann Yickers (Irene Dunne) at the start of her career, coolly fencing off the admiration of a clownish confrère and a suave young barrister (Conrad Nagel). It deals more comprehensively with her wartime love affair with Captain Resnick (Bruce Cabot).
