After years of noisy sparring, feuding Cartoonists Ham (Joe Palooka) Fisher and Al (Li'l Abner) Capp knocked each other out of the ring last week. In New York Cartoonist Fisher was suspended from the 325-member National Cartoonists Society "for conduct unbecoming a member." The society's Ethics Committee accused Fisher of using "altered, tampered-with and . . . not a true reproduction" of Capp's cartoons in an effort to prove Capp slipped pornography into his drawings.
