Delegate Kiyoko Miki, 27, the Japanese Diet’s glamor girl, is somewhat bucktoothed, but Japanese connoisseurs say she has “something of the siren in her.” Explaining her election in a hotly contested Osaka district, the Nippon Times said: “Whatever she lacked in political acumen she made up amply in sex appeal.” Last week, Kiyoko was having Dietary troubles: she had fallen in love with a dashing fellow delegate, Kiyoshi Kawani-shi, 28 (heir to the Kawanishi Aircraft fortune). Kawanishi already has a wife, who refuses to divorce him. In the Diet, members proposed Kiyoko’s removal on grounds that she is “utilizing the House for purposes not on the agenda.”
