Boeing's Vice President Wellwood E. Beall, just back from England, told this one. Airplane factories in Regensburg, Germany, occupy three parts of a rectangle. The fourth corner is a hospital. In August U.S. Eighth Air Force bombers destroyed the factories, left the hospital undamaged. Promptly the Luftwaffe radioed its congratulations to Lieut. General Ira Eaker, boss of the Eighth, expressed its amazement at such accuracy.
"Eaker's mighty proud of that" said Mr. Beall.
