For the first time, Anna Eleanor Roosevelt Roosevelt last week met the Baltimore girl who became Duchess of Windsor. President Roosevelt had finally got around to entertaining the Duke & Duchess at lunch—their first engagement, in September, was canceled after the death of Mrs. Roosevelt's brother.

The First Lady rode with the Duchess from her office (she is an Assistant Director of Civilian Defense) to the White House. But the hostess did not stay for lunch.
