Questioned in Britain's House of Commons last week, Foreign Secretary Anthony Eden referred to "the terms on which hostilities will end," added that British proposals on this subject have been submitted to the European Advisory Commission.
Laborite J. J. Lawson asked: "Does that mean we now have abandoned . . . the formula of unconditional surrender?" Replied Eden: "I don't see how the Honorable Member gets that out of my answer."
