Only service men can get into Broadway’s Stage Door Canteen (TIME, April 6) with its topnotch free entertainment; and their account of how much fun it is has made many a civilian mouth water. Recently the Canteen decided to admit rubbernecks as well as leathernecks, by selling one table each night for $50. So terrific was the demand for the table that the Canteen promptly upped the price to $100.
