Sir: For years L.B.J. has told us that there's light at the end of the tunnel. After the New Hampshire primary [March 22], I'm beginning to think he's right.


Sir: It seems that mother has been sitting around the house with her crossword puzzles for the past eight years just waiting for something to happen. What happened? Eugene McCarthy. Now I'm afraid the old man will have to eat cold sandwiches and ravioli until November, while mother runs around Dover whooping it up for "Clean Gene."...
