¶The University of Pennsylvania suffered the year's first major outbreak of spring high jinks. The trouble began when six students decided to set up a roadblock on Philadelphia's busy Locust Street. Within a short while, 500 other students joined the fun, began hurling eggs at police who tried to break up the roadblock. At one point the police appeared to have won the day, but as soon as they left the scene, the students began swarming back into Locust Street, and when the police reappeared, began throwing eggs and stones again. This time the police went after the rioters in earnest....
