> Bangkok, Thailand, July 29, 1941 (U.P.)—Premier Luang Pitul Songgram was named Supreme Commander of Thailand's armed forces today with the ranks of Field Marshal. Admiral of the Fleet and Air Marshal. Hitherto those posts were held only by sovereigns.
