The man who puts U.S. news into Spanish for the Laredo, Tex. Times got a little balled up in the excitement. As a result, the 4,000 readers of the Times’s Spanish language edition read this startling bulletin: “President Truman announced today that the Japanese for the first time had used atomic bombs with the power of 2,000 tons.” Next day, the Times reassured its readers.
