CONGRESS: The House Week Apr. 7, 1930

Work Done. The House of Representatives last week:

¶ Passed the District of Columbia Appropriation Bill.

¶ Concurred in Senate amendments to the $230,000,000 public buildings bills, thus sending it to the White House. ¶ Passed a Bill to coordinate the Government's public health activities, to raise the pay of the Surgeon General from $7,500 to $9,700 per year.

¶ Received from the Senate and considered the Tariff Bill (see below).
