A certain amount of exuberance among flyers in operational theaters is expected and overlooked, but a line has to be drawn somewhere. The commanding officer of a flying outfit in China admonished his U.S. and Chinese personnel as follows:
"Yesterday someone got three camels and two probables on a strafing mission. I don't know whether it was one of the Chinese boys or one of the Americans, and I don't give a damn, but it has got to stop. Furthermore, I understand those camels were pregnant."
