Sweden, one anxious eye on expanding Russia, the other on the future, last week took steps to cement a trading bloc of small northwestern European nations.
¶ By agreement with the Norwegian Government in Exile, Sweden will advance credits, begin making and storing goods to be used in Norwegian reconstruction. Anticipated volume: $125,000,000.
¶ Similar arrangements have been made with Belgium and Holland.
¶ Swedes let it be known that by cutting their rations they could, in a pinch, feed the Finns.
