Hearst's King Features Syndicate last week paid $1,500 for the comic-strip rights to Duchess Hotspur, Rosamond Marshall's flashy, trashy, bedroomy bestseller about a flaunting, extravagant queen in 18th Century London. Purpose: to run it in November as a cartoon-&-text feature in the New York Mirror and other Hearst papersnow tapering off on their anti-dirty book campaign.
