For the days of peace, the ABC network last week bought a voice that reassured America in the days of war: the crackling1 Hoosier rasp of former OWI chief Elmer Davis. More than 30 advertisers have offered to sponsor his thrice-a-week commentary—at $1,500 a broadcast.
